Gold Class Auditions
Audition Instructions
Fall 2026 Gold Class Auditions will be held on Wednesday, September 2. Audition times and locations vary by class.
Students auditioning for International Gold Classes must register for auditions by Tuesday, September 1 at 12:00 PM by completing the registration form below. Students auditioning for Dance 480 – Gold Bar American

Audition Routines
Gold I Ballroom Audition Routine
Students may use a BYU class waltz routine or may audition with the routine posted below.
Gold I Latin Audition Routine
Silver students may use their BYU class samba routine or use the solo routine posted below. All others must audition with the solo routine posted below.
Gold II Ballroom Audition Routine
Students may use a BYU class foxtrot routine or may audition with the routine posted below.
Gold II Latin Audition Routine
Students must audition with the solo routine posted below.
Gold Bar Ballroom Audition Routine
Students may use a BYU class foxtrot routine or may audition with the routine posted below.
Gold Bar Latin Audition Routine
Students must audition with the solo routine posted below.
Gold Bar American Auditions
Fall Semester: Please be prepared to dance either American or International Waltz for your audition. If time allows, you will also be taught a small piece of choreography.
Winter Semester: Please be prepared to dance either American or International Cha Cha for your audition. If time allows, you will also be taught a small piece of choreography.

Note: This form is for International Gold Classes only. Registration for Dance 480 Gold Bar American will be in person at the audition.
